The SkyNode S100 is a complete tracking and data telemetry device in a small, lightweight package. The SkyNode S100 is capable of interfacing with multiple mapping and information management systems and it provides security and crew safety for air/ground logistics applications while making two-way data access possible anywhere via the global satellite network.
HF Transceiver
The IC-F8101 HF transceiver provides free voice, fax, email, and data communications with regional or worldwide coverage options. This device is user friendly and does not require advanced radio operator skills. Channels are automatically selected by the Automatic Link Establishment (ALE) system while the Selcall (selective calling) feature provides selective calling, phone call, message call, position call, status call, emergency call, and channel test call options. The IC-F8101 also provides 125W of RF output and has an incorporated test function to check the transceivers condition.

It provides higher contrast, wider viewing angle of almost 180 degrees, and faster response time than a conventional LCD. The most frequently used FLIP-FLOP (Frequency exchange) switch button is designed large enough to be pushed with ease. Adjustable audio level and squelch control functions are also featured.
