Fuel Flow Transducer | Straight Pick-up, 100GPH

The 660535S transducer converts the mechanical motion of a spinning turbine into an electronic signal that is read by the fuel computer. The magnetic pick-up assembly detects the spinning turbine and counts the revolutions. This produces a series of pulses that is transmitted to the fuel computer. The computer uses the pulse frequency to calculate the fuel flow over time. The fuel flow transducer can be used in conjunction with all fuel totalizer units and fuel/air data computers from Shadin.

The Fuel Flow Transducer measures flows of hydrocarbon fuels such as gasoline, kerosene, and #2 diesel fuel and other light transmitting, non-corrosive liquids of similar viscosity.  Typical fuel flow applications include aircraft fuel monitoring systems; gasoline, diesel, and gas turbine engine test stands; and industrial furnaces. The transducers give repeatable signals on gasoline across a 100 to 1 flow range down to 0.3 GPH.  The higher viscosity of diesel fuel reduces signal repeatability at flow rates below 2 GPH.  Pressure drops are very low compared to other turbine flow transducers.  The transducer bearing system is rated for continuous operation at the upper end of the flow range. The transducers produce a current pulse signal from an opto-electronic pickup with a preamplifier.

FA200K Fuel Pressure & Ammeter Kit

The FA200 is an advanced, next generation fuel pressure and ammeter combinational instrument.

The ammeter portion of the instrument may be used as either a normal function ammeter or a loadmeter. This option is set during installation.

Fuel pressure functionality is TSO'd and meets the pressure accuracy requirements of SAE AS408C. Functional displays include:

  • Real-Time analog data depiction and digital value display
  • Graphical trend display of fuel pressure and ammeter data

The FA200K is TSO'd and STC'd as a primary replacement instrument under all flight conditions (day/night VFR and IFR).

This kit includes an A200-PSF fuel pressure sensor, an A200-HAS Hall Effect current shunt and all installation hardware.
