The ETX104 back up battery is a lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) 4Ah battery designed to provide back up power to your critical loads (essential power bus or emergency loads). This battery can be used with any size charging system due to the built in current limiting to protect it from high discharge/charge current. This is not a starter battery.
This battery is fully protected by an integrated battery management system (BMS) that protects the cell’s from over discharge, over charge, short circuit, temperature, plus cell balancing to ensure charge levels are equal. Additionally, the ETX-Hundred Series batteries have redundant electronic circuits and battery fault indication. The fault indicator can be connected into your EFIS or wired to a 12volt LED light on your control panel to alert you to the state of charge and state of health of the battery. STC or Part 337 (field approval) is required for installation. If you need the 8130-3 form for international orders, it is an additional fee of $150 per battery and must be requested prior to shipping.
