The CI 196 is a high speed blade antenna designed for large single- or twin-engine aircraft. The antenna assembly is enclosed in an aerodynamically shaped, ejection molded polyester glass shell with internal components form in place for mechanical integrity. Featuring reduced height for mounting on top or bottom of aircraft. The mounting hole pattern and RF connector location are compatible with late model Mooney 201/231/252 aircraft series start in 1978.
Identical to the CI-119. Matches the styling and mounting configuration of the late model Mooney 201/231/252 aircraft series starting in 1978.
The CI-196 has been re-tested and upgraded to the new RTCA DO-160D environmental requirements and offers the 118 to 137 MHz frequency associated with DO-186A MOPS.
