Rock Steady Strut / Skid Base
The Rock Steady Universal Strut Base is a quality all metal machined aluminum base. The strut base fits any size aircraft spreader bar, bi-plane strut, or wing strut from a J-3 to a Caravan. Also fits any sized helicopter skid gear tubing. The simple clean design straps firmly to your wing strut without using bulky blocks or bolts. The FAA friendly base can be attached quickly and easily with the Cushioned Steel Strap Kit, Poly UV strap kit, or your own tape or strap. The cushioned steel strap is recommended with the Rock Steady VibeX mount and for any FAA approvals or minor alterations. The Universal Strut Base is compatible with all Rock Steady mounts.
Cushioned Steel Strap Kit
The Cushioned Steel Strap Kit is the ultimate safe and secure universal strap. The stainless metal strap is cushioned with a rubber anti-chafe cover protecting your painted surface. The 21 inch strap can be cut to fit any sized strut from a J-3 to a Caravan. The strap is tightened by hand with a thumb screw into an adjustable aluminum block. This temporary attachment is very rigid to hold your camera as stable as possible. This strap kit is FAA compliant for minor alterations or Flight Flix FAA approvals.

Rock Steady Handle Base
With the handle clamp base, turn any fixed handle into a camera mount location. Most tube and fabric aircraft have handles near the tail, low wing aircraft typically have handles for stepping onto the wing, and many other locations. The all aluminum base uses a thumb screw with a hex drive head. This is a FAA friendly temporary mount. The thumb screw hex drive head allows you to tighten with the included hex wrench too. This clamp can be easily tightened by hand making it a FAA friendly temporary mounting device. The thumb screw head also has a hex drive allowing you to use the included hex wrench tool if needed. This Clamp Base has a 1/4-20″ socket allowing you to attach your own mounts or any RAM ball mount.
