The CI 401-490 narrow band, Iridium SATCOM antenna meets the FAA TSO standard C159a and is specifically designed for Iridium systems. This antenna will match the popular ARINC 743A footprint found on most aircraft and business jets. Through a constellation of 66 low-earth orbiting (LEO) satellites, Iridiumâ„¢ delivers essential communications services to and from areas where terrestrial communication are not available. The CI 401-490 is ideal for airborne Iridium based telephony email, asset tracking or safety services.
The CI 401-490 iridium antenna is Iridium-frequency-only allowing its narrow-band tuning to provide optimum Iridium performance. This antenna meets and earned the new FAA TSO C159a for satellite communication. Designed for both fixed wing and rotorcraft airframes, and operating with both Iridium-based voice and data communications devices, the single channel aviation patch provides continuous coverage from 1616.0 MHz to 1626.5 MHz for excellent Iridium operation.
